HUMAN 20th ANNIVERSARY SHOW @ Dux Live, Christchurch – June 23rd, 2012
PRESENTED BY DEAD GUY ENTERTAINMENT
New Zealand metal celebrates a milestone on June 23rd as Christchurch's HUMAN throws a party for their 20th anniversary in their hometown.
Starting out in 1992, HUMAN have continued to create and refine a unique blend of tongue in cheek humor into their music which ranges from blast beating grindcore to thrash to pile driving rock and everything in between. Guitarists Scott Spatcher-Harrison and Kezz Brewster wield their ultra crunchy 7 & 8 string sonic machines to inflict tight punching rhythms, matched by the distorted wall of bass from Vaughn Richardson, with the linchpin Daniel Pawsey and his explosively solid drumming style holding it all together. Throw three layers of roars, screams and growls into the mix and you have HUMAN - like 4 crazed lunatics playing on a jungle gym made of razor wire.
HUMAN are marking their achievement of surviving 20 years in New Zealand metal by performing a special show at the newly revamped Dux Live (363 Lincoln Road) and have recently stated that the show will be filmed and recorded for a live album / video release later on in 2012. So the more people attending on the night, the better! The band will be playing material from all of their old-school demos right up to new material from their forthcoming album 'Mystery Meat.'
Support bands Dissolution, Awakened Inferno and Lebowski kick off the event. Doors open 9pm.
Limited tickets are only $7 (plus booking fee) and available now from Under The Radar / www.utr.co.nz
Everyone that purchases a ticket online from Under The Radar will receive a free MP3 of HUMAN's Teenage Bonesaw Massacre single.
There will be $10 door sales on the night.
