Madcap Touring, La De Da, MAWSA & UnderTheRadar present, for the first time ever in New Zealand...VAN SHE LIVE! (Modular Records/Australia)

Despite their 2008 album “V” proving a huge underground and mainstream hit locally, with stand out singles “Changes”, “Stranger” and “Kelly”, they never made it across the Tasman as a full live band… Until now.

Playing in support of their forthcoming sophomore album Idea Of Happiness, the headline tour takes in 11 dates across Australia and New Zealand, starting in Perth on the eve of the official release of their new album on July 6.

The lead single from the album, also titled ‘Idea Of Happiness’ has been getting serious love. It’s in high rotation at Triple J (at #4 most played last week), and is approaching 170,000 streams on Soundcloud. It was released alongside official remixes by SEBASTIAN, HERVE, WHAT SO NOT and JONTI, with the SEBASTIAN remix of the track hitting the #1 position on the Hype Machine charts.

Check out the video for 1st single ‘Idea Of Happiness’ here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5OaanwN1vFQ.

The second single 'Jamaica' is following closely in the premiere single’s footsteps, tearing up both the Triple J and George FM charts, with official remixes by PLASTIC PLATES, L-VIS 1990, WORDLIFE and RIVA STARR also forthcoming.

So uplifting it’s practically levitational, Idea Of Happiness is Van She’s most focused, joyous musical excursion to date. An album stirred by sun-baked travels and fleeting truths, and shaken with the sands of time, Idea Of Happiness was recorded, engineered and produced by the band themselves in Kings Cross, Sydney, and mixed by Tony Hoffer (AIR, BECK, PHOENIX, M83) in Los Angeles.

Idea Of Happiness is an ecstatic celebration of Van She’s sound, and one the band and Modular are incredibly proud to share.
