If you like your guitars loud, your drums heavy and your music vital, Friday the 6th of July should be locked into your calendar now.
Featuring the sublime indie pop of Thieves, the Kraut-inflicted rock of Sports and the full on aural assault of Lost Rockets the night is certain to be one to remember.
The three bands have a combined pedigree that includes the best of Auckland music both old and new; between them there's current or former members of Meterman, Subliminals, The Bloody Souls, Vietnam War, Faults, Grass Cannons and god bows to math.
Thieves, Lost Rockets and Sports will be shaking the foundations of Karangahape Road's Whammy bar on the 6th July. Doors open at 10pm and the bands start at 11pm.
