Heats have already been happening weekly in Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Wellington and Christchurch with a few more heats to come. Semi finals start now kicking off in Auckland and Mt Maunganui. Some fantastic talent has been on display with many quality bands making it through to the semi-finals. More heats in Wellington, Christchurch and Queenstown are coming soon. Each show features numerous bands performing, often an eclectic mix of musical styles ranging from folk to funk, urban to alt, rock, punk and metal... something for everyone. The crowd also gets to vote, with audience votes counting for 50% of the decisions; votes are added with scores from the judging panel made up of industry professionals & musicians. It’s well worth the $10 cover charge to see some of NZ’s up and coming new music artists.
Come along & check out the live action!
