Not just any church, but the amazing Old St Paul’s (34 Mulgrave St, Thorndon) will host a lunchtime concert by Jewish/European ethnic folk band the Klezmer Rebs.
Bring along your bagel and chicken soup lunch to church and enjoy a free concert by Wellington’s Klezmer Rebs on Tuesday 14th August, from 12.15 to 1pm.
The Rebs will entertain you with a set of Yiddish folk, American jazz and swing, and the odd Russian and Italian songs from the 1900’s.
Enjoy the lively noodlings of mandolin, accordion, trombone, recorder and violin around lovely European folk melodies' Then you’re sure to love the Klezmer Rebs in the intimate setting of Old St Paul’s.
