The next wave of New Zealand's young songwriters will be showcased in this competition. A selection of outstanding students from within the Popular Music Programme will perform their original songs supported by a professional backing band. Finalists will compete for major prizes courtesy of MusicWorks, KiwiFM, the New Zealand Association of Music Producers (NZAMP), Amstore, KOG Studio, and the University of Auckland.
