An all ages acoustic show featuring up and coming singer songwriters living in Auckland. Stripped back with just their raw talent and their instruments, please welcome Yasamin Al-Tiay, Claire Kendall, Geoff Ong, Alayna Powley and Odessa to the Zeal Acoustics stage. In the room filled with the aromas of hot coffee from the lovely cafe, put your feet up, relax and enjoy the talent we have to show. Plus, an open mic at the end of the show for those who want to showcase their talents too!
**UPDATE** Unfortunately due to unforseen circumstances, Sarah Foley has had to pull out of this Friday's event. But! Good news - we have Claire Kendall filling her place, and she's just as amazing!
Yasamin Al-Tiay
Yasamin is a singer/songwriter from Auckland. She was born in Baghdad, Iraq and moved to NZ at the age of 11. Yasamin developed a musical interest since moving to NZ and purchased her first guitar at 13. Upon completion of her Science degree at the University of Auckland, Yasamin attended the Nelson School of Music where she really started to develop her own songwriting style. Once moving back to Auckland, Yasamin has been playing shows, recording some self funded material and trying to gain airplay for her music.

Geoff Ong
Geoff Ong loves inside jokes, the ocean, longboarding, and those days when it’s just a little bit too hot. He also makes pop music which is bursting with fun, summery, instantly relatable tunes- a perfect soundtrack for fans of summer road trips, hanging out, and eating ice cream.
Geoff’s independently released debut EP, Pictures, is now available! Alayna Powley
A singer/songwriter from Rotorua, living in Auckland, also currently studying at MAINZ. Alayna comes from a musical family who also had success in the Play it Strange competition, which has led to a professional recording contract, and has recorded her first single produced by Mike Chunn, the producer of Split Enz.

Odessa
Odessa has only been playing and writing songs for 3 years, but already has established a considerable reputation with her raw and natural talent, despite coming from a non-musical background. Her natural talent for songwriting shows through in her original tracks, which show somewhat introverted, sometimes dark, and personal lyrics, while embracing pop sensibilities and a strong sense of melody, with music best described as acoustic pop-folk.
