Gig Information

To celebrate the release of their debut album FAMILY TREE Coach are heading out on a North Island tour this September. They have roped in two beautiful girls as support acts: Katie Scott and Plum Green. In Wellington Coach will be joined by Nikita the Spooky and a Circus of Men and Spartacus R.

FAMILY TREE was produced and recorded by Tom Anderson in Auckland between Thinkt Studios and Deathstar Studios. The rhythm tracks were recorded live to capture the chemistry of this tight-knit trio. With additional percussion, guitars and vibraphone added later in multiple strands, the songs become dense and lush beds of dreamy texture upon which the dark melodies and haunting vocal harmonies float. There are elements of Trinity Roots, My Bloody Valentine and Marcy Playground at work, but the sound is wholly their own.

Dates are as follows:

Friday 14 September - Evil Genius, Wellington w/ Spartacus R & Katie Scott
Saturday 15 September - Rough Trade, Wellington - 1pm
Saturday 15 September - Eva St Studio, Wellington w/ Nikita the Spooky & Katie Scott
Thursday 20 September - YOT Club, Raglan w/ Plum Green & Katie Scott
Friday 21 September - Hot Lava, Ohakune w/ Plum Green & Katie Scott
Saturday 22 September - Space Monster, Whanganui w/ Plum Green & Katie Scott
Sunday 23 September - Kings Arms, Auckland w/ Cool Rainbows, Plum Green & Katie Scott

'Family Tree' will be available on CD and Vinyl from all the shows.

'dreamy, dark, spacious pop music of the kind that turns thoughts inward' - Jeff Harford, Otago Daily Times
