Gig Information

Bringing together the works of Luke Munn and Will Gresson, who simultaneously emigrated to Berlin from Auckland, A Present Absence stages performance as a continual practice used to sift and process, remember and respond. In Shiver Piece, the body becomes a conduit for both natural and political unease, while Conjugate’s tape loops allow the public to construct a series of sonic architectures and Proxy Piece brings together social and software concepts in exploring the notion of remoteness. Ranging from the sonic to the somatic, the works attempt to filter ‘here’ through ‘there’ and find presence in absence while acknowledging the gaps which must always remain.
