Supergroove were well ahead of their time. They revolutionised local modern rock and were one of the first New Zealand bands to fuse Hip-Hop and Rock with a horn section, creating a sound unheard before. Bursting on to the Auckland live scene at the dawn of the 90s after gestating in their high school music room as the ‘Low Down Dirty Blues Band’, the then-teenagers had energy to burn and musical talent oozing from every drum beat, shiny sax key and funky guitar.
Creating classic kiwi anthems including Supergroove generated six ‘Top 10 Hits’ throughout the 90s including ‘Scorpio Girls’, ‘Sitting Inside My Head’, platinum-selling ‘Can’t Get Enough’ & ‘You Gotta Know’, live standouts ‘Next Time’, ‘You Freak Me’ & ‘Here Comes The Supergroove’, and many more classic tracks.
Greg Churchill
DJ and Producer for 22 years with releases on some of the world’s premier dance labels Underwater and Ministry of Sound (UK). Greg is accountable for eight National tours and 33 highly prized mix CD’s over the last 9 years. Voted New Zealand DJ of the year six times and recipient of two prestigious BNets awards, Greg Churchill should not be missed!
Timmy Schumacher
With a 20 year legacy, Timmy has played at Big Day Out, Rhythm and Vines, Phat and also supported Moby, The Chemical Brothers, Adam Freeland, Stanton Warriors and The Freestylers. With an impressive record having created some stadium smashing remixes for Savage, Katchafire, Supergroove, Aquasky and Fast Crew, Timmy Schumacher will not disappoint.
