Dave Dobbyn, Andrew Keoghan, Ben King, Dianne Swann and Rodney Fisher will guest with Victoria Girling-Butcher at Paddington Live on March 9 in her last NZ concert before she heads to Europe to live. Wayne Bell, Mark Hughes, Ross Burge and Haddon Smith will make up two rhythm-sections.
The guest artists are drawn from Victoria’s musical collaborations over the last few years - she plays in Dave Dobbyn’s band, performed on Andrew Keoghan’s album along with Ben King and has shared the stage with Dianne Swann. Rodney Fisher and Victoria were in their first band together in their mid-teens.
Girling-Butcher was frontwoman and songwriter for Lucid3 for 10 years before releasing a solo album ‘Summit Drive’.
Support is Mark Vanilau, a multi-instrumentalist with a velveteen voice and a unique approach to harmonies. Vanilau is best-known as a session musician and has stepped into the spotlight with his first single ‘Giant of the Sea’ (Prod. Warren Maxwell) and its emotionally-charged video.
