Printable Reality and PumpHouse Theatre join celebrations for 2013, with a very special edition of a popular : “inVOICE and Music” event.
As per usual we will have an exciting line up of special guests: writers, artists, poets, musicians - led by one of the most well know NZ poets Siobhan Harvey, performing poems from her collection “Lost Relatives” (Steele Roberts, 2011) and more recent poems which have been, amongst other things, selected as runner-up in the 2012 Dorothy Porter Prize for Poetry (Aus),2012 Kevin Ireland Competition and 2011 Kathleen Grattan Prize for Poetry.
Also, this event will mark a launch of an international Artist Development Program : “Page 2 Stage”. Developed in association with UK's leading performance poetry organisation “Apples and Snakes”, it will see four young and up-and-coming writers team up with four established writers/artist with an aim of creating new and a new type of work. Excitement is building as our International Panel is selecting participants for this year-long program and we will be announcing successful applicants on the night as well as welcome to stage two of them ( names to TBA).
And a list of surprises goes on with Anthonie Tonnon, the lyrical genius frontman of Tono and the Finance Company, doing a solo set; and a posse of local talent sharing the stage for an eclectic Open Mic session.
Hosted by fabulous Charlotte Red.
