'Tunes of I' are a six piece band from Wellington, Aotearoa (NZ). Forming in 2011 they have since recorded a four track EP with Warren Maxwell (Fat Freddy's Drop, Trinity Roots, Little Bushman). A collective mash of dub, funk, rock, soul, jazz and reggae has most recently placed Tunes of I first in Wellington Battle of the Bands 2012, 2nd in National Battle of Bands and made them recipients of the 'Emerging Artist' award at the Waiata Maori Music Awards 2012. Expect a powerhouse rhythm section, lush harmonic textures, tight horn lines backed with powerfully soulful vocals and harmonies.
