Evan Sinton is a young man. A young man with an undeniable talent for writing perfectly sculpted indie pop songs. Already this year, he has opened for Passenger and Reece Mastin, and has released his well-lauded debut EP for free download on his website.
Citing influences as diverse as Robert Plant, Jeff Buckley, Muddy Waters and Bob Dylan, one might assume Evan’s music is steeped in the classics. However there is a very new, modern angle to his songwriting and structure, akin to the likes of more recent acts Fleet Foxes or Grizzly Bear. Sinton’s heart-on-the-sleeve vocal stylings and lyricism will no doubt melt the blackest of hearts come June 14th.
“Playing music from an early age, I've always lived with a passion for music. At age 12 I began to learn to sing and write my own material. From then on I have made every effort to try and capture an audience in my music; and create something real and honest.
In February 2013 I recorded a self-penned single titled 'Tables and Chairs'. The single will also be included on my debut EP due out in May.”
