Some bands make it to the top of the music industry with hard work, sheer talent and the indefinable quality that is stardom. Others just get on their knees, grip some record label phallus with their tightly puckered lips and slowly wear a hole into their newly bought stove pipe jeans.
With lips like theirs the following bands playing the Major Label Industry Showcase nights route to stardom is really just a formality...
X-Ray Fiends: If this were the 60's these guys would have been signed long ago. However it's not. And retro is lame.
Black Science: We all gave up on Dinosaur Jr after Green Mind due to severe diminishing returns. These boys didn't get the message. That's where they started. No returns to diminish.
Mason Clinic: Kings of Leon hired a trumpet player and Chewbacca to play bass. Didn't improve their sound at all.
Threat.Meet.Protocol: Looking to get re-signed to Muzai now they've gone all indie and hired someone on keys that can actually play music. Music, not noise.
