The Festival enlivens the world's coolest little capital with over 300 events in outdoor spaces and indoor stages across the city. An iconic event on New Zealand's cultural landscape and a leading multi-arts festival in Australasia - the Festival has been taking place in February-March on every even-numbered year since 1986.
The Festival celebrates the world's top international artists as well as nurturing and presenting work from some of the best artists and producers in New Zealand. Creative collaborations are forged that excite and strive to provide extraordinary experiences for audiences.
Join the mayhem in the concert hall when the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra performs captivating music from the hit BBC series Doctor Who.
Above the stage a big screen features sequences from Matt Smith’s performance as the Eleventh Doctor, while iconic Doctor Who monsters roam the aisles! Beware of appearances from the spine-chilling Silence, awe-inspiring Cybermen and the famous Daleks.
