The Map Room hit the road this November for dates nationwide....

Atmospheric indie pop duo The Map Room released their debut self-titled album ‘The Map Room’ earlier this year which was met with radiant reviews, radio play and it also reached No. 7 and No. 3 on the NZ Album charts and the Indie charts respectively.

Riding the crest of their recent successes, the band embarks on a 5-date nation wide tour at the end of November.

The Map Room also has a new single and video in the works, which they are keen to share and celebrate with audiences around the country.

The Map Room combine their love for well constructed pop songs and embellished instrumentation, with themes of displacement and motion inspired in part by Simon Gooding and Brendon Morrow’s travels through South America.

The band have crafted a sound which reaches from solo acoustic guitar to full band dynamics, rich with synthesizers, piano and electric guitar - drawing on inspiration from influential indie bands such as Radiohead, The National, Metronomy, Grizzly Bear, Spoon and Phoenix.
