Paper Cranes - are epic indie-alternative immersive folk. Inspired by folk music that harks back to its heady heyday: think old brick fireplaces, good wine, books and conversation; think tales of love and loss, heartache and elation - and everyday life.
Joseph & Maia, hailing from small beach town, Mount Maunganui, New Zealand, have been making music together for a little over 18 months. Their influences range from Paul Simon and Ben Howard to groups like The Staves and Best Coast, mixing and molding styles and genres into a distinctive blend of pop and country infused folk songs.
