The wait is almost over!
Stormporter will be showcasing their debut single and a bunch of other tunes with a full 6-piece band, at what is sure to be a killer show at Nectar Bar in Kingsland. Brought to you by the Kingsland Karnival, it's party time at Nectar Bar! Come join us!
Stormporter’s much anticipated debut single and video is about to drop! Two storytelling Brits who now call NZ their home are about to unveil their infectious brand of Indie pop-rock on the ears of NZ. Recently, they hit the studio with producer and Kiwi legend, Ben King (Goldenhorse, Grand Rapids). The result was two beautifully crafted, soulful pop-rock tunes that are sure to stick with you. Featuring on the record are, Matthias Jordan (Pluto, Gin Wigmore), Haddon Smith (The Checks, Ruby Frost) and Adam Tobeck (Jesse Sheehan).
Joining Stormporter to make some beautiful noise, will be two more of NZs freshest, bright young things…
THE MAP ROOM
Their recently released self-titled album has been well received by music critics and the public alike. The Map Room combine their love for well-constructed indie pop songs and embellished instrumentation with themes of displacement and motion, inspired in part by their travels through South America.
EZRA VINE
Ezra Vine is a multi-instrumentalist obsessed with escapism, indulging his melodic fantasies among handclaps, and the waltz of bass drums. First single ‘Celeste’, is an infectious celebration of anticipation, combining an ear-worm acoustic riff with an army of floor toms, Beach Boys backing vocals, Miike Snow piano clusters, and a lilting, Shins-like vocal. Look out for his debut EP in 2014.
