Dear friends, whanau & fans of Tiny Ruins,
With the release of our new album Brightly Painted One, our dearest wish is to tour as a full band to the farthest stretches we can reach.
For most of this year, we more or less have plans to be touring NZ, Australia, the UK, Ireland, Europe, Canada & the USA.
Still, being the way we are, this is not without its challenges. Images spring to mind of us stranded kneedeep in mud at the entranceways to festivals in a rastafarian-themed van; hunting down double basses in different cities & carrying them across cobblestones; relying on the kindness of friends & strangers; sleeping under robes, etc.
With these thoughts in mind, & with three of us to float, we are doing this one special show in a couple of weeks at our home of homes, the Wine Cellar. A revisiting of material from Some Were Meant for Sea, Little Notes EP and Haunts, as well as a couple of rarely played ones from our new album.
It will be an early show on a Sunday evening, two sets with a small break in the middle. There will be a bunch of old/limited ed. merch for sale, a raffle, and a photo board showing our past touring pursuits. All the money raised at this show will go directly into the band account to help pay for flights, visas & the numerous costs for the year ahead.
If you dont live in Auckland but want to contribute to our tour funds, you can donate to the Tiny Ruins Paypal address of tinyruins@gmail.com, or support us by finding something on our bandcamp page ()...or email tinyruins@gmail.com for other options.
Thank you so much for helping us keep doing what were doing. We appreciate you, our audience & friends, ever so much!
Yours,
Hollie
