Lizzie Cook Music is Lizzie’s own music, variously described as Gypsy, Cajun, East European and French Café. This Singer/Songwriter's live sound is concocted on vocals and accordion bringing you music ranging from beautiful mellow to beautiful power-house.
About to release a 4th album, Indigo, Lizzie Cook Music has certain heartfelt Kiwi sensibilities, is definitely 100% homegrown, yet plays out a multicultural aspect of New Zealand - the accordion sounds and rhythms take listeners on an armchair traveling trip around the world!
Lizzie has played in such far-flung places as the Vienna Accordion Festival, Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean, Singapore, Australia and around New Zealand. She performs occasionally with her band in Christchurch and Wellington and plays solo regularly at Beat St Cafe in Christchurch.
