Nu-folk nostalgic artist, Arthur Ahbez is set to play three shows next month around the North Island. Off the back of a successful handful of shows earlier this year, Arthur Ahbez will play shows in Auckland, Leigh and Raglan in May.
Finding solace in the ethos of Jazz, Folk, and Psychedelic movements of the 1960's, many such artists played a part in shaping his own song writing inclinations and musical outlook. Arthur finds freedom in building sounds on his own – expressions which reflect his understanding for honest, versatile music.
With a focus on the art of capturing moments and his imagination, Arthur and his four-piece band Superbird create music that opens doors -- from somber folk acoustic tracks to loud hip swinging jams. Known for effortlessly delivering highly energetic and emotive shows, expect the band to create a fantastical, rich blend of nu-folk and acid pop jams for their live shows.
Earmarked as one to watch for 2014, Arthur Ahbez is set to warm your cockles and light up the room this May.
