Tablefox has grown more limbs this year with the introduction of three new members to the line up to expand to a five piece. This indie rock band are ready to share the fruits of this new collaboration with fans. Coming off like Mark Lanegan, Band of Horses and The Afghan Whigs logging trees in the woods, Tablefox write songs that float in the periphery. It’s good honest trend-free songwriting that knows just when to deliver a decent hook. Recently taking out theaudience.co.nz January Wildcard Chart to win a full day recording at Roundhead Studios.
Lightning Bells began in a dusty Auckland basement armed with the old family piano, a garage-sale guitar and a brother & sister with distinct voices. Growing up in the conflicted household of an opera-singing mother and Beatles-nut father - Christy and Emily Whelan were drawn to making music from an early age.
