NZTrio marks their 2014 return to QTheatre's Loft with a mid-winter programme that’s sure to engage the senses.
Loft 1: Svelto is a programme filled with drama, featuring Beethoven’s spirited op. 1 c minor trio, and Dvorak’s magnificent f minor trio. Dance of the Fallen, by local composer Stephen Matthews, captures the struggles when the ‘fallen’ are faced with seemingly insurmountable challenges. And acclaimed German composer Matthias Pintscher’s Svelto inhabits an imaginative, adventurous sonic landscape.
NZTrio appears to have claimed the welcoming space of Q Theatre's Loft as its Auckland home, enabling Justine Cormack, Ashley Brown and Sarah Watkins to play to a capacity audience while retaining the friendliness of a house concert...
