The Rooster's Roadshow is a travelling Kiwi music spectacular, with 12 of the most incredible Kiwi acts appearing in 11 venues all across the North Island! 5 bands will feature each night, in a revolving line up showcasing some of the best talent NZ hard rock and heavy metal has to offer......
Headlining this year's Roadshow are Team Kill and His Master's Voice.
Team Kill
Established in 2012 , this Waikato based 5 piece (Vocalist Luke Holder, shredding guitarists Jake Booth & Chuck Dynamite, and brutal rhythm section of bassist Phil Smathers and drummer Nate Walker) are more than just your typical NZ metal band.
With a self confessed apocalyptically heavy sound, monstrous stage presence and music executed with precision, Team Kill is not shy about their determination to succeed, or their uncharacteristic approach to stamping their mark on the NZ metal scene.
By remaining loyal to their ambitions and following their own path, Team Kill have assembled a stunning landmark debut EP - Age of Disease. Produced and engineered by the acclaimed Nathan Sowter, and released in May 2014, the EP has received national radio airplay, and is racking up impressive sales amongst a loyal and ever growing fan base.
His Master's Voice
Formed late 2012, His Master's Voice are inspired by legends like Buddy Guy, BB King and Black Sabbath. Their sound evokes the Classic Rock greats such as Deep Purple, the Doors and Led Zeppelin, mashed together with a sprinkling of Motown and icons such as the Beatles. Musically, the band identifies with a new wave of progressive rock/blues such as Graveyard, Blues Pills, Orchid and Heart Attack Alley.
His Master's Voice are a distillation of all things good about rock. 150% overproof. Authentic. Original. Relevant.
This bands music and performances smash down the walls that exist between staunch fans of metal and blues, and between audiences of different ages. Whoever you are, you'll walk into their show and come out a believer.
Within weeks of their first shows His master's Voice had become a headline act.
The band were invited to appear as feature act with Swamp Thing at the Titirangi Festival of Music Encore Series. Starting their set as relative unknowns they easily won over a packed house, a feat they've achieved with every gig since. Their reputation as a powerhouse rock act they cast into stone, with one astonishing performance.
Try and find someone now who hasn't heard of His Master's Voice....
