Mad Handsome
Carbon Kid and Kaivai form Wellington rap team Mad Handsome. Drawing on a diverse range of inspiration, the duo inject their funky and subversive anthems with Brooklyn style boom-bap, guitar licks, horn samples and vocal wails. Along with their DJ, Mike Ruckus, Mad Handsome have a blast on stage and take their audience along with them.

Since arriving in Wellington 4 years ago Uncle Silverback has quickly become a familiar face on the wellington music scene, whether performing on Bass Trombone in bands (Brockaflower, Newtown Rocksteady, Niko Ne Zna) or behind the turntables scratching and mixing together his latest dusty crate discoveries.
His solo performances (under the name The Hornorgrapher) blur the boundaries between DJing and musicianship, as he weaves together layers of loops created live from both his Trombone and from manipulating samples on the turntables.
