Sidewalk Empire is a six piece band based in Mount Maunganui, Bay of Plenty.
They create an eclectic mix of tunes like funk fusions with influences from the likes of Stevie Wonder all the way to ballads with stacked harmonies reminiscent of the iconic Fleetwood Mac.
Sidewalk Empire are top of my most played at the moment. They're a local band that I've seen play half a dozen times - and they leave me wanting more every time. Look them up - you won't be disappointed.

Groovy with Mainstream appeal.... Graham from the Fabulous Most Groovy Brilleaux
They've got Hollie Smith grooves with Bic Runga and Fleetwood Mac Harmonies -Echo from 5 piece Polyfunk band Sweet Echo
Vinylbiscuit are an exciting new R&B four piece from the Western Bay of Plenty, fusing neosoul, funk-blues and vinyl-age R&B into a brand new dancefloor sound all of their own. Upbeat, but twisted. Somehow familiar, but totally original.
With influences from Etta James to Jimi Hendrix, Amy Winehouse to The Pixies, and Motown Records to Parliament Funkadelic, we deliver an electric, hi-octane live funk/soul/R&B show that's perfect for festival audiences, and great for pubs and clubs who 'get' the original music scene.
