Born and raised in California, Mimi Gilbert discovered her love for performing on the streets of American cities at the age of 15.
She has since has found herself sharing stages with the likes of Emy Reynolds Band, Lissie, and The White Buffalo. Moving to Australia at the age of 18, she has recently moved onto New Zealand where she continues to make music around the world, playing in venues of all kinds, street and stage alike. Creating layer upon layer of a raw, prevailing sound that simply burst with life, journey and experience, Mimi feels most herself when behind any instrument at all, sharing the understanding that comes from music.
