Vector Arena is proud to present acclaimed contemporary folk artist Ruth Moody (of the Wailin’ Jennys) in her exclusive NZ debut at Auckland’s Great South Pacific Tuning Fork.
Ruth Moody is an Australian born, two-time Juno Award winning songwriter from Winnipeg, Canada. Founding and current member of the internationally-renowned, Billboard-charting folk trio The Wailin' Jennys, she has performed in sold-out venues around the world, made numerous critically-acclaimed albums, and has appeared more than a dozen times on the popular American radio show, A Prairie Home Companion. 2013 saw Ruth embark on a world tour in support of her sophomore solo album, These Wilder Things, which included 12 European shows opening for Mark Knopfler.
Although best known for her work with The Jennys, Ruth is an artist of exceptional depth and grace in her own right. Critics have lauded her ethereal vocals, impressive multi-instrumentalism, and insightful songwriting. This will be her first New Zealand show.
