Veteran California singer, guitarist, & composer Don Burnham is perhaps best known as the leader of the Western Swing band LOST WEEKEND. He knitted together the original all-star LOST WEEKEND outfit in 1985, and the group is still going strong, “ensuring that the flame of Western Swing music continues to burn bright”. Don was inducted into the Western Swing Hall of Fame in 2005.
For his 5th New Zealand tour, Don teams up with his Kiwi bride, vocalist Sarah Dee, and the pair will entertain in Picton, Christchurch and Wellington. He wrote the swingin’ ode to Aotearoa, Fern Frond Boogie. Audiences can expect to hear traditional and popular songs, as well as originals, performed in Don’s warm and engaging style.
