TREI BIO

Viper Recordings / Technique Recordings / SOM Music / Samurai Music / Commercial Suicide / Critical / ShogunLtd / Obsessions / Uprising

With a passport full of stamps, scorching hot exclusive selections and the technical skills to match, TREi is one of the leading lights of the New Zealand drum and bass scene. Internationally known as both a producer and a DJ, over the last seven years, TREi has made his mark at home and abroad, particularly across Europe where after no less than 7 successful tours encompassing 22 countries, he is fast becoming a staple in the global Drum and Bass scene.

Based in Wellington, New Zealand, TREi's infectious mixing and anthemic productions have seen him linked to some of the finest Drum and Bass record labels, club nights, DJ's and producers on the planet. With releases on the likes of Viper Recordings, Commercial Suicide, Shogun Ltd, Samurai Music, Uprising Recordings; and gaining regular support from such luminaries as Concord Dawn, Andy C, Klute, Friction and Black Sun Empire to name afew; in 2013 his presence is impossible to ignore.

March 2013 see’s the release of his much anticipated second album; “Satellites” on State of Minds’ SOM Music. Packed with hard hitting beats, progressive rollers, and proven dancefloor smashers including “Change your Mind” (with Thomas Oliver) and Homecoming (with MC Tali). Continuing on from where 2009’s highly acclaimed debut “Innuendo” left off; “Satellites” is set to propel TREi even further into the musical stratosphere, future proofing Drum and Bass in the process.

DUO ALIAS BIO

Duo Alias is a side project of TecheAd and Feedback, hailing from Wellington NZ.

TecheAd is well known for his deep dark underground techno, as well as his glitchier more hip hop/trap oriented side as 8 Man After. He is dedicated to his music and is currently prepping an EP and an Album.

Feedback originally came from a drum'n' bass background, before heading on hiatus for a few years and eventually coming back into the glitch-hop/trip-hop/electrosoul sound.

Together they have found they can write a unique blend of glitchy beats and ultra heavy bass.

Duo Alias is a chance for them to try out what are now experimental recording techniques using anything from cassette players, to road cones to record and bounce sound through and bounce creative ideas. Not everything is intended to be perfect.

In mid-late 2013 the boys were having a beatmaking session at 181 Tasman and decided to form a group. Until now they've had no name but are preparing to record more together in the future and release under this name.

As of May 2014 a full live set is being pieced together as the next step into uncharted territory for both members of Duo Alias.
