Expect the unexpected when composer, bass player and producer Ross McHenry hooks up again with his team of musical innovators to explore the future of jazz.
Having performed from Glastonbury to Melbourne International Jazz Festival, Ross is known for his role with afro-jazz ensemble Shaolin Afronauts and is a leading voice in new Australian music.
Dubbed “the future of Australian Jazz” (PBS FM), the Future Ensemble includes New Zealand’s own Myele Manzanza (Theo Parrish), Adam Page, Jonathan Hunt, Dylan Marshall and Brenton Foster.
Come and find out “what happens when afro-jazz meets LA beats and NZ soul and hip-hop” (Radio New Zealand).
