Featuring sets from The Goth and The Pixie, Joshua August, Crazed

New Zealand Music Month is a great time for talent that is often hidden in the shadows to come out and play. The Volume Collective and four Hamilton bands have teamed up to host an event showing us exactly that, with real Hamilton flavour.

Volume will be introducing a diverse range of originals from these amazing local bands. From the smooth sounds of Josh August to the darker and edgier the Goth and the Pixie, the Volume Collective promises an entertaining and worthwhile event.

The Volume Collective is a group of musicians, artists and designers that have come together to create something for the greater Hamilton creative scene. What they are aiming to achieve are more accessible artistic opportunities for everyone. They started recording for this event early 2015, and are excited now to see their first event coming to life.

“These guys are doing something really great for the community,” Macaila from the Goth and the Pixie says. “They are really fun to work with. I’m proud to work with them and I think this is going to go somewhere.”

In anticipation of the event, the Volume Collective will be regularly releasing the videos and recordings that they have been working on with the bands over the past couple of months. The recordings will be available to buy at the event, with profits going to the bands.
