Growing up in Auckland but now based in Sydney, singer songwriter Sarah Belkner will be heading back to New Zealand for her debut ‘Humans EP Tour’ this November.
‘Humans’ EP explores the often unspoken grey areas of human nature and ongoing questions to make some sense of our experiences.
Belkner couples her distinctive vocals with piano-derived melodies carefully mixed with electronic and acoustic elements to build her own unique sound of chamber-Indie-pop universe.
Sarah’s vocals are produced by Australian music industry legend Paul McKercher, who has previously worked with such artists as Josh Pyke, Bertie Blackman, Papa Vs Pretty, Sarah Blasko, You Am I and Pete Murray. Her talented band is Evan Mannell (drums/ MPC), Neal Sutherland (bass/ synths) and Matt Keegan (electronic saxophone/ clarinet). Sarah and Richard Belkner co produced the EP together in their own studio Free Energy Device Studios in Camperdown, Sydney.
Also lending vocals on the track, “Ego Blues” is the beautifully intense and characteristic baritone voice of singer-songwriter Jack Ladder.
Humans’ well and truly solidifies Sarah’s place in the Australian Music scene and offers an exciting taste of what’s to come.
