Alt-country singer/songwriter, “Stretch”, is returning for a two night stand in his spiritual heartland, Hawkes Bay.
Spanning dark-hearted ballads to roof-raising choruses, Stretch will be rolling out a boot stomping backbeat and weaving beautifully frayed melodies inbetween. It’s an alt-country landscape, that hints at Jeff Tweedy and Springsteen kicking off an after hours session while Neil Young pours the drinks. Playing acoustic guitars, harmonicas and a kick drum while wrapping his truly soulful voice around it all, makes for an enthralling show.
This year has already seen two national tours, the recording of a live EP, filmed for TV, and generally working his ass off to earn fans the old fashioned way, one true music lover at a time.
