On the 6th of February 2016, join Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei, as we celebrate Waitangi Day Festival 2016, in conjunction with Auckland Council.
Commemorating the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi by Māori chiefs and representatives of the British crown on 6th February 1840, join Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei to celebrate the occasion with this free event.
Come along to stunning Bastion Point - Takaparawhau, for a great family focused event featuring a full day of outstanding live acts. Bring along a picnic, or enjoy kai from our wide range of stalls on site. In between acts, meander through the art and craft stalls, watch the giant Manu Aute kites or enjoy local acts on our whanau stage. Keep the kids entertained with rides and a range of other great activities! This event is sure to be a great day for everyone that joins in the festivities.
Don't forget your hats and sunscreen, bring a rug and a sun brolly and find a seat in front of the main stage! Come along early to score yourself a good spot!
Please remember this event is strictly smoke, drug and alcohol free, with a focus on zero waste!
