Originally from France where he grew up as a teenager through the 90’s,The Fuzz received his ‘music education’ from his family and friends. Since then, his curiosity for music has only been growing bigger and bigger and what followed was the natural path, doing what he enjoys the most, playing the music out loud to the people!
The core of his selections are very much based on Soul/Funk/Rare Grooves and Reggae, as well as Latin and African musics. His mixes can take various directions, from Hip-Hop to Electronica, Cumbia to Dancehall, Disco-Boogie to Deep-House...The Fuzz likes to keep things funky, tropical and bassy!
Always keen to find new sounds and to share music, in 2004 he started as a DJ at the Most FM in New Plymouth where he held two weekly shows. Later, and under the wing of his DJ friend The General, he started to play records at venues and parties. These days, Jules plays on a weekly basis and promotes other DJs to come play gigs in Taranaki.
Over the years DJ Fuzz played with a few people that inspired his deejaying. Jstar from the UK, DJ Click from France and DJ Jeff Bass from Brazil are the most recent ones.
