Recently, we had blues legend Blind Boy (Jerron) Paxton over from the deep south of the Americas, playing one night at Bodega – his tech requirements included a stand up piano, we were happy to oblige.
Whilst at Bodega, Jerron found his way into the depths of 101 Ghuznee. Discovering the recently re-furbished and aptly named bar the 'Blind Tiger' he insisted, that piano must be moved downstairs”.
We did exactly that. The piano has a new home.
The Blind tiger is now open. And starting Thursday the 19th of May, the infamous Black keys and Blue Notes” returns, a weekly showcase of all things in the key of blue.
Over the years musically minded folks have expressed interest in playing downstairs – if this is you, contact us.
In the meantime, we will see you there next Thursday night... 8pm doors Koha entry
