Very Tall Stories play quality Aotearoa soul music, and have been described as Marvin Gaye vs Dilla.
The group was founded by Tom Everett in the warmness of Studio 166 Avondale. Originally MPC based band, this has since expanded to gain Shaun O'Kane and Olly Harris (from The Hot Grits and Kolab) as the horn section, and today the band can be a seven piece! The lineup is rounded out by Dan Collins on bass (P Bass Expressway) and Simon Kosioski on guitar (Harbour City Electric). Kurt Dyer provides the percussion for the group.
