Ijebu Pleasure Club take you to an alternate 1986, where a small-town Nigerian afrobeat band have just been told they need to play top 40 hits from American radio to keep their gig. They don't own the records, but they're going to give it a shot.
Featuring the music and style of Fela Kuti and some songs you'll remember and some that are best forgotten, this band will show you that all pop music begins and ends in Africa.
