Anto Pascoe has long been a part of Christchurch’s underground music scene and has played with such markedly inspired players as David Clark, Mike Summerfield (Undercurrents) and Simon Brouwer (The Unfaithful Ways).
Since 2014 Anto has gone under his solo name – having a tape of his early recordings ‘Plastic Dream’ being released thru local label ‘Melted Ice Cream’ (MIC). ‘Slide Down’ charted that year on RDU top ten.
The sound has been described as easy listening to dream pop with some psych elements. MIC have also released a single ‘Broken Record’ 2014 on tape and a more experimental ambient/ psych record ‘To Escape’ on tape also – with the song ‘The River’ reaching No 7 on RDU’s top ten chart in 2015.
