The special guest this week will be Sean Sinnott, an Irishman long gone from Dublin and sporting a vast repertoire with influences including Christy Moore, Jimmy McCarthy, Eric Bogle, Paul Marks and George Melly.
Sean has played for many years around the Auckland area - Tuesday nights at Albion Hotel for 13 years, then the Claddagh Irish Pub for a further 9. Now it’s just a few gigs a year so don’t miss this fantastic opportunity to hear Sean in an intimate, acoustic setting.
We'll be kicking off the afternoon with floor singers, and, because it's about that time, we'll be finishing it all off with THE TRADITION BEARERS. If you haven't been along before, the trad bearers session is just music-loving folkies, sitting round the table drinking and singing un-accompanied folk songs (often chorus songs). NO instruments! Vocals only.
3pm start, $10 koha entry
