Bryony Matthews joined by her band are beginning their tour of the South Island after the release of her first single Voices. Joined by the beautifully acclaimed Amiria Grenell, check them out in Little River, Dunedin, Queenstown and Wanaka.

Bryony Matthews is a Christchurch based singer/songwriter by way of Golden Bay.
Matthews grew up in a creative musical household – her Dad, an African drummer and marimba player, her Mother, a poet and her brothers both musicians.

Picking up a guitar at 14, Matthews has been writing and performing, shedding fears, gaining confidence and honing her skills, plus acquiring a collection of talented musicians to back her.
Matthews writes unique, considered, lyrics-focused folk-pop offerings, with her band lending an upbeat ambiance to the songs.

Matthews recently recorded her debut album with Dictaphone Blues front man Eddie Castelow, bringing her drummer, AJ Park and former guitarist, Adam Hattaway along for the ride.

Her debut album Little Queen is due for release in early 2017. In the meantime, new single ‘Voices’ is out now.

New Zealand new folk luminary Amiria Grenell released her third album on September 24th through her own label Quiet Bird Records. The stunning album ‘Autumn’ departs from her second album, the Tui Award winning album ‘Three Feathers’, delving at times into quieter territory.

Hailing from a large musical family (her father is country legend, John Grenell), she has spent
the past few years performing extensively around the country, a regular at arts festivals, and as a member of the Fly My Pretties cast. Recently, she relocated back to Lyttelton’s vibrant harbour, closer to the family, friends and loves who flicker through this new collection of songs.
