The Interislander Ferry is the eighth gig on a 28-day tour of NZ by this versatile acoustic trio from Australia.

Featuring award-winning songsmith Brian Ward, the masterful guitar work of Marcus Sturrock (including his trademark guitar body percussion) and the lovely vocal tone, agility and harmonies of Jenny Ward.

Marcus Sturrock - Master Guitarist:
This unique and highly regarded guitarist takes the audience on a journey through styles ranging from Celtic tunes to world music, interspersed with trademark driving percussive solos played on the guitar body. He delivers an inspiring aural treat of technical, emotional, classical and funky originals.

Widely travelled on the Australian and International festival circuit, Sturrock has played and jammed with a virtual brag book of musicians and has developed a reputation being a wild and gifted performer. This gentleman guitarist's performance and passion speak for themselves.

Brian (Jackdog) Ward - Award-Winning Songwriter:
Brian Henderson Ward (aka Jackdog) is an award-winning singer-songwriter and guitarist with a huge repertoire. He writes and performs in a wide variety of styles and genres - R&B, inspiring anthems and ballads, political comment, comedy and everything in between. A former President of the Australian Songwriters Association, he remains ever-passionate about grassroots original music.

He has travelled the length and breadth of Australia, performing and leading original music events in every State and Territory. Jackdog’s songsmith ability, ready wit and sense of humour are sure to inspire and entertain.
