From Lyttelton, ‘The Lucky Lost’ present their unique blend of Folk influenced alternative acoustic sounds. Based around the singing/songwriting of Darren Tatom and William Field, the sound is enhanced with vocal, cello and keyboard from Lucinda whitely, shimmering guitar from Gordon Goodinson and solid rhythm provided by Jack Cameron on drums and percussion. NZ Musician proclaimed The Lucky Lost debut self-titled album as ‘a strong set of original songs’ The band are currently engaged with Ben Edwards of Lyttelton Records in the recording of their second album.
Formed in 2013, the Brooms offer an eclectic repertoire of songs from country folk to pop and blues. Having a concealed number of years between us, our acoustic sound is diverse and infectious. Not 4, not 10, but up to as many as 14 strings plucked in poetic unison on bass, guitars and violin – yes – all this combined with lush vocal harmonies!
