Warm up your bodies for Newtown Fest with Mermaidens and Auckland’s SoccerPractise as they team up for one special as show. The party will reach its peak with a rare appearance from Hans Pucket’s Midnight Karaoke Challenge - get those kiwi banger requests ready!
Kicking off 2017 with a bunch of shows up and down the country as well as supporting The Veils on their NZ tour, Wellington three-piece Mermaidens have an exciting year ahead of them. The band’s live show is dynamic and hypnotic as always, but expect a few surprises. With a follow up to their first album Undergrowth set for release later in the year, Mermaidens can’t wait to share their new sounds with you.
SoccerPractise’s multimedia genre-bending show is one not to be missed. The Auckland based electronic four-piece combine minimalist electro textures with catchy AF vocal hooks and lush reverb-soaked guitar lines. They put on an excellent live show too, with live video projections from light master Kim Newall. Don’t miss out on this performance - SoccerPractise know how to bring the party!
There will be $10 doorsales on the night.
