The Zeelanders are led by bassman Patrick (Paddy) Bleakley, who soared to fame in 1977 as an actor playing alongside Bruno Laurence age of 17. When the fame and fortune became too much for him, he was saved by the love of a good woman and together they live the good life in sunny Wairarapa.
Playing in several successful acts since the move, Paddy has established himself as one of the top double bass players this side of Brisbane. The Zeelanders will retell, in music, the story of Paddy – a story of fame, excess and bliss.
