We are touring NZ singing and talking about the relationship we all have to water, fresh and salt - and the impact humans have had on our waterways.
All the time, we've been conscious of the damage and trauma inflicted on families in the Bay, in this little town we often drive through living as we do in Rotorua. Just feel heaps of aroha for everyone. Want to give people a moment of distraction, if that's even possible, through story and song. Asked my relation Tim Barnett if he could suggest whether locals might be open to it. Moana & The Tribe will perform in a smaller version with Moana Maniapoto, Trina Maniapoto, Paddy Fre, Karlos Tunks-Saunders. So we are looking forward to doing our wee bit in the best way we can.
