The Frank Burkitt Band have become one of New Zealand’s finest string bands, and their style can best be described as ‘Acoustic Swing.' Drawing influence from American roots music and artists such as The Wood Brothers, Pokey LaFarge and Nina Simone, Burkitt’s entertaining and occasionally rambling anecdotes give audiences a chance to really relate to his songs.
