The Solomon Cole Band are a hot quartet comprised of bassist and veteran UK song-writer Lee Catlin, Waiheke Island drummer Dione Denize, Vocalist Miss Sophia, all of whom stand alongside front-person Solomon Cole's wailing blues-soul vocal delivery and guitar .
Their aim is to create a set of explosive and exalted blues, rock and soaring soul-based songs that land somewhere between artists like The John Spencer Blues Explosion, Black Keys & Gary Clarke Jnr meets early Tina Turner, QOTSA and Led Zeppelin in a modern take on traditional music.
In their first 12 months they supported veteran American artist Martha Davis & The Motels on their NZ tour, recently headlining both nights at The Okere Falls Festival 2015, opening night NZ Fashion Week 2015 and played wherever they could set up including acceptance to Little Day In Festival, Rangihoua Olive Festival, Music In The Parks, and Sanctuary Sounds.
